Uttar Pradesh CM Urges Peaceful Festivities and Swift Disaster Relief Efforts

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has emphasized the need for maintaining peace and harmony during religious festivals while ensuring swift disaster relief efforts in the wake of recent natural calamities. At a high-level meeting on Monday, Adityanath cautioned against actions that could potentially hurt religious sentiments and directed officials to take strict measures against any disruptions during festivals.

“Necessary arrangements must be made to ensure that every festival is celebrated in an atmosphere of peace and harmony,” stated Adityanath, emphasizing the importance of respecting religious faith without causing offense to others.

The meeting also focused on addressing the aftermath of severe floods, lightning strikes, and drowning incidents that have claimed lives and caused extensive property damage across various regions of Uttar Pradesh. Adityanath expressed deep concern over these developments and called for immediate compassion and assistance to affected families.

“In cases where crops have been damaged or property washed away by floods, immediate financial assistance should be disbursed within 24 hours,” Adityanath directed, stressing the urgency of providing relief to those in need.

Adityanath also highlighted the critical need for ensuring that hospitals in flood-affected areas are equipped with essential medical supplies such as anti-snake venom and anti-rabies injections. He underscored the importance of proactive measures to manage flood risks in urban areas, including the maintenance of drainage systems and backup power arrangements for pumping stations.

The Chief Minister’s directives underscore the state government’s commitment to maintaining communal harmony during festivals while ensuring swift and effective responses to natural disasters.
