Mela to be helpful for making younger generation aware about the ideology of revolutionary heroes: Tarunpreet Singh Sond

Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond today inaugurated two-day Inquilab Mela dedicated to the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh at Khatkar Kalan. He said that Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh is the pride of not only India but the whole world and the Punjab government is fully committed to carve out a country of his dreams.
Congratulating the entire nation on the birthday of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, he said that today the entire Punjab is remembering this great martyr of the country under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He said that under a special initiative, the Punjab government has started celebrating fairs/Mela again in the state and accordingly, a two-day ‘Inquilab Mela’ has been dedicated to the birth anniversary of Sardar Bhagat Singh at Khatkar Kalan. This Mela would be very helpful in making the young generation of Punjab aware of the ideology of their revolutionary heroes.
He said that earlier Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann also took oath at Khatkar Kalan and today the pictures of the real heroes of freedom struggle are displayed in the government offices of the state. He said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has also named Mohali Airport after Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
Earlier, Tarunpreet Singh Sond inaugrated the Mela by lighting the lamp. Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh , Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat, Lok Sabha Member Malwinder Singh Kang, Deputy Speaker Jai Krishna Singh, MLA Santosh Kataria and Dr. Sukhwinder Sukhi with other personalities were also present.
