A Delhi court on Friday granted bail to former Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain in a money laundering case. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on May 30, 2022, over charges linked to four companies allegedly tied to him.
Reacting to the court’s decision, AAP convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal questioned the prolonged detention. “Satyendar Jain got bail after spending over two years in jail. What was his fault? Multiple raids were conducted, and not a single penny was found,” he said. Kejriwal further accused the government of targeting Jain for establishing mohalla clinics and providing free healthcare to Delhi’s residents.
