Saini likely to take oath as CM on Oct 15

Nayab Singh Saini is expected to take the oath as Haryana’s new Chief Minister on October 15 following the BJP’s decisive victory in the state elections. The Haryana government has formed a 10-member committee, led by the Panchkula Deputy Commissioner, to oversee the swearing-in ceremony, as per an official order issued by Chief Secretary T V S N Prasad. Senior officials from Panchkula, including the additional deputy commissioner and municipal commissioner, will also be involved.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President J.P. Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and other central leaders are slated to attend the ceremony, along with Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states. On Wednesday, PM Modi personally congratulated Saini for the party’s historic victory in Haryana, where the BJP secured 48 out of 90 assembly seats. Modi emphasized Haryana’s growing role in India’s development. After a meeting in Delhi, Saini credited Modi’s policies for the victory, thanking the people of Haryana and the BJP workers for their support.
