Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met with US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan at the White House in Washington DC on Friday. Their discussions focused on the evolving geopolitical landscape and key regional security issues. They also explored ongoing defence industrial collaboration projects between India and the US, identifying potential areas for future cooperation.
Rajnath Singh also engaged with senior leaders of the US defence industry during a round-table organized by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum. The event saw participation from a large number of US defence and technology companies.
During the round-table, Rajnath Singh emphasized India’s openness to US investment and technology collaboration. He highlighted India’s skilled human resource base, a robust pro-FDI and pro-business ecosystem, and a large domestic market. Singh expressed India’s eagerness to work closely with the US in the defence sector for capability building and to forge a lasting technology and industrial partnership to address emerging challenges. Later, he briefly met with a delegation from the US-India Business Council.
