Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi criticised the BJP-led Centre and Haryana government for failing to create jobs, forcing the state’s youth to migrate abroad for employment. At a rally in Assandh, Karnal, exhibiting a show of strength, Gandhi was joined by Sirsa MP Kumari Selja and former Haryana CM Bhupinder Hooda, despite internal party tensions. Selja, who was overlooked in the ticket distribution and denied a ticket for the upcoming assembly elections, has openly expressed her ambition to become Chief Minister if Congress comes to power while reiterating her continued dedication to the party.

He emphasised the need for local job creation, promising a caste census and solutions to farmers’ issues if Congress returns to power.
