The State Election Commissioner Raj Kamal Chaudhary announced on Wednesday that elections for the 13,327 panchayats in the state will held on October 15. “ Nominations can be filed from September 27 to October 4. A total of 19,110 polling booths will be set up for the elections. The expenditure limit for sarpanches is set at Rs 40,000, while panches have a limit of Rs 30,000, State Election Commissioner said.
