Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jharkhand on October 2, where he will lay the foundation stone, launch, and inaugurate various projects worth over Rs 83,300 crore in Hazaribag around 2 pm. As part of his commitment to the comprehensive development of tribal communities across the country, he will introduce the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, which has a total outlay of over Rs 79,150 crore. This initiative will benefit over 5 crore tribal people in approximately 63,000 villages across 549 districts and 2,740 blocks in 30 states and union territories.
The Abhiyan aims to address critical gaps in social infrastructure, health, education, and livelihoods through 25 interventions executed by 17 ministries and departments of the Government of India. To enhance educational infrastructure for tribal communities, the Prime Minister will inaugurate 40 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) and lay the foundation for an additional 25 EMRS, valued at over Rs 2,800 crore.
Furthermore, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple projects under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN), totaling over Rs 1,360 crore. This includes the construction of more than 1,380 kilometers of roads, 120 Anganwadis, 250 multipurpose centers, and 10 school hostels. Modi will also unveil significant achievements under PM-JANMAN, such as the electrification of over 75,800 households in Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) across approximately 3,000 villages, operationalization of 275 mobile medical units, establishment of 500 Anganwadi centers, and creation of 250 Van Dhan Vikas Kendras, alongside ensuring ‘Nal se Jal’ access in over 5,550 PVTG villages.
