Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday drew an analogy from the Mahabharata, accusing the ruling BJP-led NDA of creating a ‘Chakravyuh’ (complex trap) to ensnare the youth, farmers, and middle class. Speaking in the Lok Sabha during a debate on the Budget, Gandhi remarked, “They are not like Abhimanyu; they are Arjuna and will break the Chakravyuh.” He criticized the government for allocating just 2.5 percent of the budget to education, the lowest in 20 years, and highlighted the ongoing issues of widespread paper leaks affecting students. Gandhi expressed disappointment that the Finance Minister did not address this crisis in her speech.
“The INDIA bloc has taken the first steps to break this Chakravyuh and will continue to fight until the current atmosphere of fear is replaced with Shiv Ji Ki Baraat, where there is equal opportunity, justice, and freedom for all. The BJP should not mistake India’s youth for Abhimanyu. They are Arjuna and will break free from this Chakravyuh,” Gandhi added.
