Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, speaking in Lok Sabha on Friday during the discussion commemorating the 75th anniversary of India’s Constitution, dismissed efforts by a specific party to claim sole credit for its creation. He asserted that the Constitution was the product of the people of India, rooted in the country’s values. He reaffirmed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the government works in line with the principles of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,” and adheres to the moral guidelines laid out in the Constitution.

Singh emphasized that the Constitution is progressive, inclusive, and transformative. He highlighted that anyone, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to rise to the highest political offices in the country. He also credited key figures like Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, Lala Lajpat Rai, Sardar Bhagat Singh, and Veer Savarkar for shaping the Constitution’s spirit, while warning against attempts to conceal the true history of its formation.
