‘Omar Abdullah will be Chief Minister of J & K’: Farooq Abdullah

National Conference (NC) chief Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday said Omar Abdullah will be Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. Expressing gratitude for the mandate after 10 years, National Conference Chief Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday, said that it will not be a “police raj” but a “logon ka raj” (people’s rule). While talking to the media, Abdullah also vowed to free innocent individuals in jail. He promised media freedom and highlighted the need to build trust between Hindus and Muslims. Abdullah is hopeful that INDIA alliance partners will support the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood. He also hinted at Omar Abdullah becoming the next Chief Minister.

Abdullah expressed disappointment over Congress’ loss in Haryana, attributing it to internal disputes.
