NIA to probe Manipur violence cases: MHA

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday addressed the escalating security concerns in Manipur, where violence between armed groups from opposing communities has led to fatalities and widespread disruption. The ministry emphasised that all security forces have been tasked with restoring peace, with firm action to be taken against any individuals engaging in violent activities.
the Home Ministry statement further said that several critical cases have been transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for more effective probes. The ministry also appealed to the public to remain peaceful, avoid falling for rumors, and support security efforts to maintain order in the region.
