Nayab Singh Saini has been chosen as the new Chief Minister of Haryana after being elected as the legislative party leader in a meeting on Wednesday. The meeting, held in Panchkula, was convened by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who met with the state’s 48 newly elected MLAs.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shah, BJP President J.P. Nadda, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are expected to attend the ceremony on October 17.
