Rohtak, September 19

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday released its manifesto for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, with a focus on welfare schemes for women, employment opportunities, and support for farmers. While addressing a rally in Rohtak,  BJP national president JP Nadda, assured farmers that the BJP would offer Minimum Support Price (MSP) for 24 varieties of crops, a move aimed at strengthening rural economies and announced the introduction of the Laado Lakshmi scheme, which would provide ₹2,100 to women beneficiaries. He also promised the creation of at least 200,000 jobs for unemployed youth in the state if the party retains power.

He also vowed to provide government jobs for all Agniveers hailing from Haryana, in a bid to appeal to the ex-servicemen and defense personnel in the region.

Nadda also launched a scathing attack on the Congress party leaders during a rally, accusing them of treating their election manifesto as a mere “formality” and using it to “deceive the people.”

“For Congress, this document (manifesto) is just a formality. It’s a ritual they follow to mislead the public,” Nadda said. “Ten years ago, Haryana was synonymous with jobs being secured through ‘Kharchi’ (bribes) and ‘Parchi’ (influence). The state was also mired in land scams,” he added.

Nadda contrasted this with the BJP’s governance, stating, “For us, the ‘Sankalp Patra’ (manifesto) is a solemn pledge. We have been tirelessly serving Haryana and will continue to do so.”

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and state BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli were also present at the event.
