Kangana Ranaut expressed her disappointment on Monday over the opposition to the release of her film Emergency in Punjab. Speaking out, she said it hurt her that certain individuals were preventing the movie from being screened in the state, despite its successful track record in the region. “It has been said that my films have performed well in Punjab,” she noted. Making an emotional appeal to the people of Punjab on her social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Kangana shared a video with the caption: “Immense gratitude. Emergency in cinemas now.” Ranaut appealed to the public to watch the film and make their own judgment.The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has protested against the film’s release, even sending a letter to Punjab’s Chief Minister, urging a ban.
