Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has managed to appease AICC general secretary and Sirsa MP Kumari Selja, persuading her to campaign for the party in the upcoming elections. Selja met with Kharge in New Delhi on Sunday, where she expressed her frustration over being sidelined by the faction led by former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda during the candidate selection process and the drafting of the party’s manifesto, according to sources.
Party insiders confirmed that Selja will join the Congress campaign on September 26. In an interview with a national news channel, Selja clarified that she intends to remain with the Congress and has no plans to resign, despite her grievances with certain party leaders. She further stated that her concerns will be addressed at the appropriate time and confirmed her aspirations for the Chief Minister’s post.
