Jammu, September 27

BJP President J.P. Nadda on Friday emphasised that Kashmir’s youth are embracing the national mainstream by rejecting terrorism and violence. During a press conference in Jammu for the assembly polls, he highlighted the peaceful conduct of the elections, noting the absence of booth capturing, violence, or terrorist attacks. “Ambassadors from 16 countries visited to witness these elections, marking a historic moment where the people of J&K chose the power of the ballot over the bullet,” he said.

Nadda praised the BJP-led government for fostering peace and announced that this is the first election where nominated members of Kashmiri migrants will also sit in the assembly. He criticized the Congress and National Conference for betraying Jammu, hindering development, and failing to address the sentiments of the local population. Nadda highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has integrated Jammu into the development narrative.

He further noted that two phases of the elections have been successfully completed, reflecting the love, trust, and support the people of Jammu and Kashmir have shown towards Prime Minister Modi and his policies. The peaceful conduct of this election stands in stark contrast to previous ones, with no incidents of violence, booth capturing, or terrorist activity.
