NEW DELHI, OCTOBER 26

Israel announced on early Saturday it has launched targeted airstrikes against Iranian military sites in retaliation for weeks of missile attacks from Iran. Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari confirmed that the “precise strikes” targeted key military positions within Iran, aiming to neutralize imminent threats to Israeli security.

“We have concluded Israel’s response to Iran’s attacks. We conducted targeted and precise strikes on military targets in Iran, thwarting immediate threats to the State of Israel,” Hagari said in a statement released during the strikes.

The IDF emphasized that Iran and its regional proxies have sustained aggressive actions against Israel on multiple fronts since October 7, including direct assaults from within Iranian territory. “As a sovereign nation, Israel has the right and duty to respond. Our defensive and offensive capabilities are fully mobilized, and we will do whatever is necessary to protect the State of Israel and its people,” the statement continued.
