India welcomed the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon announced on Wednesday, with Ministry of External Affairs Official Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal emphasizing the importance of de-escalation. “We have always called for de-escalation, restraint, and a return to the path of dialogue and diplomacy,” Jaiswal said in a statement. He expressed hope that the ceasefire would pave the way for peace and stability in the broader region.
