India urges citizens to avoid travel to Syria amid crisis

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has advised Indian nationals to avoid all travel to Syria due to the prevailing situation in the country. In an official statement, the MEA urged Indians currently in Syria to remain in contact with the Indian Embassy in Damascus for assistance. The embassy can be reached through its emergency helpline at +963 993385973 (available on WhatsApp) or by email at hoc.damascus@mea.gov.in.

“Those who can are advised to leave on the earliest available commercial flights. Others are requested to observe utmost caution, limit their movements, and prioritize safety,” the ministry stated.
