Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has acknowledged that Canada has not provided any evidence to support allegations made against India, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Thursday. Responding to media queries about Trudeau’s statements at a Commission of Inquiry, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “What we have heard today only confirms what we have been saying consistently all along—Canada has presented us no evidence whatsoever in support of the serious allegations it has chosen to level against India and Indian diplomats.”

Jaiswal further said that the deterioration of India-Canada relations is solely the responsibility of Prime Minister Trudeau, citing his “cavalier behaviour.”
