Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar lauded the launch of the Early Screening and Detection Breast Cancer Program at Medanta Medicity on Sunday, calling it a “unique” initiative. He noted that the program would initially operate from three centers in Gurugram.
Gurugram Marathon 2024: A Day of Enthusiasm and Endurance
Earlier in the day, CM Khattar and India cricket star Shikhar Dhawan flagged off the Gurugram Marathon 2024. The event saw participation from around 40,000 runners of all ages and skill levels, with distances ranging from 5 km to the full marathon of 42.2 km. The marathon ignited a surge of enthusiasm and resolve throughout the city.
Economic Growth and Environmental Initiatives: On Friday, Chief Minister Khattar highlighted Haryana’s impressive economic performance, stating that the state’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) growth rate of 8% surpasses the national average of 7.3%. He also discussed efforts to combat stubble burning and reduce pollution, mentioning that 156,000 farmers registered for the management of 1.4 million acres, with an incentive amount of Rs 139 crore provided in the year 2023-24.
Vision for a Developed Haryana: CM Khattar emphasized Haryana’s commitment to achieving India’s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047. He outlined the state’s seven-star system of governance, aimed at transforming Haryana into a “developed” state and contributing to the nation’s aspiration of Viksit Bharat.
