A cloudburst in Tosh Nallah, Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, caused flash floods that washed away a footbridge and three makeshift sheds, including a liquor shop. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. The incident occurred early in the morning in the Tosh area of Manikaran, according to media reports.
Kullu deputy commissioner Torul S Raveesh urged residents to stay away from rivers and avoid constructing temporary structures near nullahs. Construction
activity is prohibited during the monsoon, and violations will face strict action.

An orange alert for heavy to very heavy rain with thunderstorms has been issued for seven districts on Wednesday and Thursday, with a yellow alert for isolated heavy rain on August 2 and 3. The monsoon is expected to intensify, raising the risk of landslides and flash floods in vulnerable areas.
Recent light rainfall has been recorded in parts of the state, with significant precipitation in Sarahan, Rohru, Sangrah, and other regions. Since the monsoon’s onset on June 27, 62 lives have been lost due to rain-related incidents, and the state has incurred losses of ₹425 crore.
