The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches on Monday at the residence of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjeev Arora in Ludhiana, as part of a money laundering investigation, officials said. The ED alleges that Arora fraudulently acquired land worth crores through his company.

The agency carried out raids at 17 locations, including in Ludhiana, Jalandhar, and Delhi, targeting properties linked to Arora and realtor Hemant Sood. “I am a law-abiding citizen. I am not sure about the reason for the search operation but will fully cooperate with the authorities,” Arora said on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

Reacting to the raids, senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia said that this is the latest in a series of ED raids on AAP leaders, including those on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other top members, with no evidence found in previous instances. “They will go to any extent to break the Aam Aadmi Party, but we will neither stop nor be intimidated,” he said.
