Drone attack on Netanyahu’s residence, PM safe

The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s private residence in Caesarea was targeted in a drone attack from Lebanon early this morning. Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, were not home at the time, and no injuries were reported, the Israeli PMO clarified. Israel’s air defenses downed two additional drones launched from Lebanon, triggering sirens in the Tel Aviv area, according to Israel based news outlet The Israel Times.

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that approximately 55 rockets were fired from Lebanon at northern Israel, affecting cities across the Upper, Western, and Central Galilee regions. Some of the rockets were intercepted, while others landed in open areas. Two people sustained minor injuries near Haifa, the news outlet reported.
