In an intelligence-based operation, Amritsar Rural Police busted a cross-border smuggling module with the arrest of two suspects and the recovery of four Glock-26 pistols. According to officials, the accused were in contact with a Pakistan-based smuggler who has been sending large consignments of weapons and drugs into India using drones and other methods.
” The investigation is ongoing to identify both backward and forward linkages of the operation. @PunjabPoliceInd is committed to maintaining peace and harmony in #Punjab, as per the vision of Hon’ble CM @BhagwantMann,” Punjab DGP Gaurav Yada said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
