Complete Sultanpur Lodhi Works by Nov 10 for Prakash Purab: Punjab Minister to Officials

Punjab’s Local Government Minister, Dr. Ravjot Singh, has issued strict instructions for all development work in Sultanpur Lodhi to be completed by November 10, in preparation for the Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The directive follows his review of ongoing projects in the town, which will host thousands of pilgrims for the celebration.

At a meeting with officials, including Rajya Sabha member Sant Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal and Aam Aadmi Party leader Sajjan Singh Cheema, Dr. Ravjot Singh emphasized that roads leading to Gurdwara Sri Ber Sahib and other key gurdwaras must be ready for the Nagar Kirtan procession. He instructed Public Works and Sewerage Board officials to expedite roadwork to ensure the town is fully prepared for visiting devotees.

Dr. Singh added that the Smart City project for Sultanpur Lodhi, aimed at promoting religious tourism, is under constant monitoring to meet completion deadlines. He urged better coordination among departments to ensure timely, high-quality results, specifically highlighting road tile installation on Sultanpur Lodhi’s main routes.

District officials, including District Planning Board Chairperson Lalit Saklani, Kapurthala Urban Improvement Trust Chairman Gurpal Singh Indian, and others, were present for the review.
