Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday accused Congress of spreading misinformation about the Agniveer scheme, claiming the party falsely alleges that returning Agniveers will be left without support. “I make a promise to you—no Agniveer from Haryana will be without a pensioned job. This is the Bharatiya Janata Party’s commitment,” Shah said while addressing a rally in Rewari of Haryana.

He further criticized Congress for disrespecting the army, recalling the party’s past insults, including calling the army chief a “goon.” Shah targeted Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of wanting to restore Article 370 in Kashmir and release terrorists and stone pelters. “Rahul Baba, neither you nor your three generations can bring back Article 370. Anyone who spreads terrorism or throws stones in Kashmir will remain behind bars,” he added.

Highlighting internal conflicts within Congress, Shah referred to a recent incident where Congress leader Kumari Shailja expressed reluctance to campaign with Bhupinder Singh Hooda due to a lack of invitation. He accused Hooda of still holding a mentality that inviting a Dalit leader would harm his election chances. Shah also claimed that Rahul Gandhi, during his visit to America, proposed ending reservations for OBC, SC, and ST communities, but assured that as long as BJP MPs are in Parliament, they will protect reservations.
