Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan has received a threatening call from a man in Raipur, said media reports quoting Mumbai Police sources. The call follows a similar threat made to fellow actor Salman Khan earlier this week.
The police have filed a case at Bandra Police Station and are investigating the incident. A team from Mumbai Police has traveled to Raipur, Chhattisgarh, where they traced the threatening number to an individual named Faizan, according to reports.
The threat comes on the heels of the murder of Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and three-time MLA, allegedly at the hands of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang last month. Siddique, a long-time associate of Salman Khan, was known to have supported the actor on multiple occasions.
Lawrence Bishnoi has previously issued public threats against Salman Khan, accusing him of killing a blackbuck, an animal considered sacred by the Bishnoi community. Following Siddique’s murder, Khan has faced a series of death threats, which authorities believe are linked to the Bishnoi gang.
Representatives from the Bishnoi community have called for an apology from Salman Khan over the blackbuck incident.
