In a bid to expedite the settlement of mutation cases, Punjab’s Revenue Minister Hardip Singh Mundian announced a special campaign to resolve all dispute-free mutations within a month. Following instructions from Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the initiative aims to clear pending cases by December 31, he added. Mundian emphasized that, as per government directives, dispute-free mutations must be decided within 45 days. He warned that any cases left unresolved beyond this deadline would lead to strict action against the responsible officers and staff.

The Minister pointed out that several mutations, some over a year old, remain pending despite clear instructions from the government. The Revenue Department has instructed Deputy Commissioners (DCs), Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), and other officials to prioritize these cases and complete them by the end of the year.

Mundian also urged the public to report any issues related to mutation registration or instances of bribery through the helpline number 1100. Additional Chief Secretary Anurag Verma will review the progress with DCs in meetings scheduled for December 16 and 31.
