Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal resigned on Saturday, submitting his resignation to the party’s working committee. In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), SAD senior leader Dr. Daljit Cheema confirmed the resignation, noting that it would allow for the election of a new president. Badal expressed his gratitude to party leaders and workers for their continued support during his tenure.
