Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday criticised the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led coalition on Monday, branding it a “Ghuspaithiya Bandhan” (infiltrators’ alliance) and “Mafia Ka Ghulam” (mafia’s slave) in a fiery address ahead of the state’s elections. Modi accused the coalition of allegedly harboring and supporting Bangladeshi infiltrators, claiming that their governance poses a threat to the security and integrity of Jharkhand.

Prime Minister launched a scathing attack on the opposition during an election rally at Garhwa in Jharkhand, also accusing the INDIA bloc of corruption and betrayal. Modi urged voters to reject the JMM-Congress-RJD alliance, emphasizing that Jharkhand’s development hinges on a “double-engine government” led by the BJP.

“This election comes at a time when the entire country is moving forward with a vision to become developed by 2047. The coming 25 years are critical for both the nation and Jharkhand,” Modi said, energizing the large crowd with the slogan, “Roti, Beti, Maati Ki Pukar, Jharkhand Mein…Bhajpa, NDA Sarkar.”

Highlighting infrastructure investments, Modi pointed to ongoing modernization projects, including road improvements, strengthened rail connectivity through 12 Vande Bharat trains, and new waterways on the Ganga River. “With a double-engine government here, Jharkhand’s progress will double,” he stated.

Modi praised the BJP’s Sankalp Patra (manifesto), calling it a blueprint for the prosperity and safety of Jharkhand’s people. He announced plans for new welfare schemes, including the ‘Gogo Didi’ program offering ₹2,100 monthly to women and two free LPG cylinders for poor families during Diwali and Raksha Bandhan.

Attacking the opposition’s track record, Modi claimed, “Over the past five years, the JMM-Congress-RJD alliance has failed Jharkhand’s youth, with false promises of unemployment benefits and repeated recruitment scams.” He outlined the BJP’s pledges to create 300,000 transparent job opportunities and introduce a ₹2,000 ‘Yuva Sathi Bhatta’ along with exam schedules to prevent paper leaks.

In a direct swipe at Congress, Modi accused the party of long-standing deception. “Since independence, their politics have been based on lies and betrayal,” he said, citing examples from states like Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana, where Congress’s governance has been criticized for failing to deliver on promises.

Modi also leveled allegations of deep-seated corruption within the JMM-Congress-RJD government. “There isn’t a single leader—be it chief minister, minister, MLA, or MP—who isn’t facing allegations of corruption,” he said, referring to large sums of cash seized in recent investigations. “Even the counting machines were exhausted counting the cash,” Modi quipped.

Concluding his address, Modi accused the opposition of prioritizing family interests over public welfare, citing the sidelining of leaders like Champai Soren. He called on the youth to reject these “family-centric” parties and support the BJP for genuine progress.
