Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, reportedly intends to create a private family compound for two of the three mothers of his 11 children, US based news outled The New York Times reported, citing sources familiar with the matter. Musk has acquired two adjoining properties in Austin, Texas, for around $35 million, aiming to bring his children and their mothers closer together.
The properties include a 14,400-square-foot Tuscan-style mansion and a six-bedroom home directly behind it, purchased to foster closer ties among his younger children. Musk, 53, is often in Austin, staying at a nearby third property within walking distance.
Musk, a vocal proponent of increasing the world’s population, has sought to expand his family with the aid of in vitro fertilization and has even offered sperm donations to acquaintances, including former vice-presidential candidate Nicole Shanahan, who declined, according to The New York Times.
