New Delhi, October 28
Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi on Monday launched the FCI Grievance Redressal System (FCI GRS) mobile application in New Delhi, aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability, and stakeholder satisfaction for rice millers. The app allows millers to address grievances efficiently with the Food Corporation of India (FCI), marking a significant step in the government’s Digital India initiative.
The FCI GRS app, available on Google Play Store for Android, offers features such as real-time tracking, automatic assignment of grievances to nodal officers, and geo-fencing for Quick Response Team visits. Designed for user-friendly complaint registration, the app generates a unique ID for each grievance, allowing millers to monitor the status and receive timely responses.
This launch demonstrates the government’s commitment to improving governance standards and service quality in the procurement process.
