Mega PTMs reflects govt’s commitment to quality education: Harbhajan Singh

Punjab Power and Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh announced on Tuesday that the Mega Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) held across all government primary and upper primary schools in the state have fostered stronger relationships among teachers, students, and parents, creating a supportive educational community.

During his visit to various schools in Amritsar district, including the School of Eminence (Girls) and Boys Senior Secondary School, he emphasized the PTMs’ focus on key objectives such as evaluating student performance, ensuring 100% attendance, and achieving 100% academic results. He said that discussions at the meetings included the Business Blaster program, the Career Enhancement Program (CEP), and the Program for Academic and Career Excellence (PACE), along with exposure visits organized for students.

He highlighted that during the PTMs, teachers presented the results of the September examinations, provided personalized feedback on student performance, and addressed individual learning needs. Parents were encouraged to evaluate the school’s infrastructure, voice concerns, and offer suggestions for enhancing their children’s educational experiences.

Emphasizing the Punjab government’s commitment to improving education quality, ETO stated that involving parents in these meetings aims to establish a robust support system for students, ensuring their holistic development and success. He reiterated the government’s dedication to fostering an inclusive educational environment throughout the state.
