Himachal Pradesh bags award for ‘Highest Achiever State in Overall Hydropower Capacity’

Himachal Pradesh conferred upon “Highest Achiever State in Overall Hydropower Capacity”  Award at the Global Renewable Energy Investors Meet and Expo held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on September 16. Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Prahalad Joshi presented the award at the expo. Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sunder Thakur and MLA Neeraj Nayyar from Chamba constituency received the award on behalf of the Himachal Pradesh government.
“Our government is taking effective steps to make Himachal a green energy state till 31 March, 2026. Within a record six months, the 32 MW solar plant at Pekhubela has been made operational. At the same time, two solar energy projects, 10 MW Kutlahad and the 5MW Bhanjal project will also be dedicated to the public soon. This moment is the result of Himachal’s progress and better work,” said Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu while congratulating the people of Himachal Pradesh.

He thanked the people of Himachal for reposing faith in the government and their unwavering support.
