A man from Zhejiang Province, China, identified as Mr. Huang, tragically passed away from a suspected heart attack just two weeks after undergoing a major dental procedure. Mr. Huang had 23 teeth extracted and 12 implants inserted during a single session at Yongkang Dewei Dental Hospital on August 14. His daughter, Ms. Shu, shared the heartbreaking news on social media, explaining that her father experienced severe pain following the procedure, which is referred to as “immediate restoration.” Thirteen days after the surgery, Mr. Huang suffered a fatal cardiac arrest, the UK-based news outlet Independent reported.

Ms. Shu expressed her grief in an emotional post, saying, “I didn’t expect my dad to pass away so quickly, and I didn’t even get the chance to drive the new car I bought him.”

Local authorities, including the Yongkang Municipal Health Bureau, have launched an investigation into the case, focusing on the connection between the extensive dental surgery and Mr. Huang’s sudden death. The bureau acknowledged that there was a 13-day interval between the procedure and the cardiac arrest, and the investigation aims to clarify the circumstances leading to his death, the news outlet further said.
