Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has strongly criticized the Congress party for demanding accountability from the BJP government while avoiding scrutiny of their own tenure. Addressing the Jan Ashirwad Rally in Ambala City, Saini accused Congress leaders, including former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and his son Deepender Hooda, of spreading lies and illusions among voters. “Congress is asking for ‘hisaab’ from the BJP government, but they refuse to account for their rule in Haryana,” Saini stated.
Chief Minister Saini condemned the Congress for launching the ‘Haryana Mange Hisaab’ campaign, claiming it spreads misinformation to weaken the democratic process. He asserted that the Congress is deliberately circulating falsehoods to mislead the electorate and influence the upcoming elections, according to The Tribune.
“I have asked questions to the Congress leaders, but they have yet to respond. We, in contrast, have been transparent with the people of Haryana, presenting our accounts yearly. The youth and farmers who have benefited from our policies are also vouching for our governance,” Saini added. He challenged Hooda to disclose the record of his 10-year rule, questioning the rise of corruption and the exploitation of Dalits and farmers during the Congress regime.
Saini also highlighted the BJP government’s achievements, mentioning merit-based job creation, the procurement of 24 crops at a minimum support price, and plot allocations for the poor. “Our government has been dedicated to all segments of society, implementing policies that foster development and welfare without discrimination in its 10-year rule,” he said.
The Chief Minister urged voters to support the BJP in the upcoming Assembly elections for a third consecutive term, promising continued development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Saini also called on all political entities to adhere to principles of honesty and transparency, emphasizing the need for a fair and informed electoral environment.
During the rally, industrialist Balbir Singh, previously with the Shiromani Akali Dal, joined the BJP.
