ISRO successfully launches EOS-08 Earth Observation Satellite

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched the third developmental flight of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on Friday. The SSLV-D3 mission successfully placed the EOS-08 and SR-08 satellites into their intended orbits.

Giving details, ISRO Chairman S. Somanath said that the rocket performed flawlessly, with all parameters meeting expectations. He announced the completion of SSLV’s development, marking it ready for future missions. The SSLV can carry satellites up to 500 kg into Low Earth Orbit. Union Minister Jitendra Singh praised the ISRO team for their achievement, crediting the continued support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the organization’s success.
