India’s HS Prannoy has advanced to the pre-quarters of the Paris Olympics after a thrilling victory over Vietnam’s Le Duc Phat. Despite losing the first game 16-21, Prannoy made a remarkable comeback to win the next two games 21-11 and 21-12.
“Prannoy followed up his game 2 dominance into game 3 as well as he dismantled his Vietnamese opponent to book his place into the next round,” reported Republic World. His next challenge will be against fellow Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen.
